#SETTING UP A TRAKTOR S2 WITH DJPRO SOFTWARE#
Each function of the software can be mapped to one or several user-defined control elements of the hardware controller. A controller mapping establishes a relationship between the control elements (knobs, faders, buttons, encoders) of your hardware MIDI controller and the functions of the TRAKTOR software. The Controller Manager is the place to create, edit, import and export controller mappings. You can also view the video version of this article. Note: The Autogain value can not be changed if Analysis Lock (formerly known as BPM Lock) has been enabled for the loaded track. This article describes the settings and functions of the Controller Manager menu in TRAKTOR's Preferences. Autogain is only working when Enable Autogain is enabled under the Preferences > Mixer tab and can be activated independently in Internal and / or External Mixing Modes. Channel Gain can now be mapped to an absolute knob without having to worry about knob takeover issues. Clicking on the blue light will turn it to orange and display the amount of gain that the Autogain functionality is applying to the given Deck:Ĭhanges made to the Autogain amount can be heard immediately and are automatically saved to the track. If the blue light is grey, then Autogain is off: When the button is blue and named GAIN, you're viewing the gain for the mixer channel while Autogain is activated. If you dial in a Channel Gain of 2dB and the Autogain for the currently loaded track is 1dB, the audio signal from the deck is boosted by a total of 3dB. The total gain applied to the Deck`s output is the sum of both values. Note: Both the Channel Gain and the Autogain are active no matter which control is currently shown in the user interface.

The button next to the gain knob is used to switch the view of the knob between Channel Gain and the Autogain value for the currently loaded track.
